Connecting the Walking Trail System

Connecting the Walking Trail System

The Cheshire Walking Trail System connects the Cheshire homeowners with well maintained double track trails. Trails that meander along with the streams, through side yards, following the gentle grades as they traverse the property. Living in Cheshire means that you can choose to walk on the sidewalks or take a more scenic route where the sites and sounds are a little slower. One of our newest additions to the trails system is our pedestrian bridge.

The Pedestrian Bridge

A robust design with a purpose. “We wanted a bridge wide enough for two people to walk side-by-side.” says developer Sikes Ragan, “however the main reason for the bridge was to complete and connect the Cheshire Walking Trail System. In the past, homeowners and guests had to walk on the side of Hwy 9 to cross the stream that separated the trail system.” With the installation of the bridg, everyone feels much safer on their walks.

We did, however, find 1 regular trail user that is not very happy about the new bridge—Layla, Debbi’s labrador much preferred going down into the creek to play before crossing to the other side. While Layla isn’t very happy her mother appreciates not having to give her a bath when they get home! Sorry, Layla.
